    Thanks for your post Maverick.
There is one thing we need to be clear on and that is the process by which a resource is converted to reserves. That process involves the drilling and testing of appraisal wells. For CBM wells, the testing involves dewatering and letting the gas flow.
This process is under way now and more wells are scheduled to be drilled starting this month (October). So as far as I know the process of converting a resource to reserves is well and truly under way.
As well pressures and gas flow data is fed to the reservoir engineering consultants they draw a circle around the producing wells. This circle gets larger as more wells are drilled and production data is fed into the equation. The reserves within this circle are 1P (proven) reserves. 2P and 3P reserves are obtained by pushing the circle out using data such as seismic and old well data from the past. Eventually, as more wells are drilled and tested the 2P and 3P reserves are converted to 1P.
This process will take time as you say, however, proven reserves, small to begin with will be recognised within months. The numbers and confidence will grow from there.

So my point is that proven sellable reserves dont suddenly happen at the end of the program in 6 or 12 months. They are recognised bit by bit on an...."as we go" basis.
And with CBM where you have a widespread coalseem and not a geological trapping mechanism as in a conventional gas discovery, the level of confidence will be a lot higher, a lot earlier.
So we will have preliminary reserves numbers being updated sooner than later,.....IF Mr James keeps us informed.
