We have not made a rod for our own back, the Politicians have painted themselves into a corner as they have been flooding migrants into the country for political reasons not economic ones

The furphy that we must have the technical skills of imported workers is false IMHO.
They do not explain why we are importing a lot with criminal tendencies whose only skills are as laborers

It does not explain why the politicians promote overseas student at the expense of Australian ones which leaves us short of skilled Australian workers

Just another part of the social engineering to change the country to a compliant one with no freedoms

While I agree with most of your post kingpins IMO it is overseas money that is supporting the way overpriced real estate we have.
Also the building of more of it to meet demand.
Take this away by significantly cutting immigration and the Aussie economy will take a big hit.
Mind you I support cutting back anyway.
