if the US market starts to decline next week, and continues to decline for the next two years, do you think I'll make money or lose money? I guess what you're saying is, if the US market can tread water for another six months I'll lose my money, you could be right. Which is why I said "a small hedge", if I'm wrong I lose half, and my stocks go up, if I'm right I hold my losing stocks and get compensated 10 fold on the hedge.
