In the same way that public data is available for shareholders in companies that have significant holdings that same data should be easily available to the public, listing those significant lenders of stock and those organisations that are selling stock they don’t own. No doubt these behemoths trumpet the importance of transparency on a regular basis and so no doubt they’d take the opportunity to support such initiatives to foster these fine efficient markets of ours.

This sort of information shouldn’t only be available to those with deep pockets and armies of analysts.
