This GBE sellout seems bad for RSL in my opinion. The Chinese want to remain in control of RE so they can allow GBE's projects to stall by doing nothing, especially with Machinga. To achieve this they must have control first, and Machinga is tricky because of the JV with RSL.
Either, GBE does enough of the JV requirements to gain control and then stall.
or, GBE does nothing with Machinga and RSL has to fund the project to see it develop, something RSL is a very long way from achieving.
For me, I don't now expect that Machinga will ever become a mine - permanently mothballed.
Question: If RSL own 80% of Machinga, why don't they release the results? If they can't, then will they ever be released?
I'm sure Mark Sumich doesn't want them released as it may compromise his sweet deal.
