It has been a very frustrating few years when gold shot up to 2k they were all making bank. But since then they have all been struggling even with what I would consider to be a reasonable gold price. For the AU producers POG never fell below 2k AUD. Despite that there has been no value for share holders in terms of SP accreditation or yields except for a few exceptions such as CMm, but that is due to the life cycle of the company more than anything else. Most of the time with the exception of our last few reports the financials come out ok, either slight cash build or break even. That has started to change and most I watch or invest in are burning cash. Even RMS who had a great quater hitting 60koz for the first time last year has fallen of a cliff. It’s very annoying. Not sure why they are all struggling, I guess most have similar deposits of a similar age? Barrack and some of the big players are staying to make it work why can’t our guys. NCM as the big dog has been particularly annoying. Talking up Acadia etc and failing to deliver and even substantially cutting dividends. I am at a bit of a loss. Starting to think etfs are the way to go mixed in with one or two high risk plays. For that reason have recently purchased ZIM. Need a stomach of steak though super low volume and high volatility stock that can swing 20 percent intra day. Anyway GLTA.DYOR.
