SP is now on a 5 year low. That takes some doing when the US$ POG has increased 33% and 19% in AUS$ terms over the same time.
I was listening to Tom Palmer of Newmont talk on K*i*t*c*o this morning about M&A in the gold mining sector. He reckons merger activity will be increasing over the next few years in order to meet the capex required to address zero emmission targets. Newmont looks for 500Koz operations and so unlikely to be interested in RRL but other companies may well be.
