Patience is often the best strategy. I sold half my Regis for good profits near the highs and the rest at $3.50 before buying them all back around $2.50 (sigh) so I'm underwater this round and lucky I didn't go in for more at $2.20.
Waiting too long can also be a trap though, AGL and MGX both bounced around 15% in 2-3 days this week. It can be hard to get back on the rocket after it's started to take off (just ask those still waiting to get back on Macquarie at $100).
Alas none of us is Warren Buffett. Just as well the market tends to wander up rather than down over time or most of us would be broke.
