I've had a peruse of the submissions on the nsw planning site in regards to mcphillamys, particularly the comments by local governments and authorities. None dissaprove, and they seem supportive on how it can work. Making use of a used water stream seems like a good idea and that infrastructure will last long beyond mine life. As far as I gather, the site is sourcing all water external to the region. I believe sensible heads will prevail.
