The other thing to consider is that there is just no money in the asx anymore. ASX still within 1-2% of pre-covid high. All our superfunds are putting money in other assets such as property and in international markets. For example my growth fund which has averaged a 40% return last 2-3 years has as its 3 major holdings are BNP-Paribas call options, Apple and Microsoft. As long as this keeps working money will stay out of the asx. People are also turning to corporate bonds as sources of income rather than dividend stocks. Personally I have started accumulating AMP and RHC hybrids. Check this out, the predicted percentage ownership of the asx by 2030 by super-funds has fallen from 50 to 30%.

RRL really needs to put a couple of strong quarters together to attract what little money is out there. Also if Macphil doesn't come off they should buy back the 200 mil shares that were generated as part of the Tropicana acquisition. That would be a good way to repay share holders by reversing that dilution. I don't really like buy backs, but when the price is this depressed and to reverse an unneeded dilution I think it would be a good move.
