Gold Call Options expire around the end of each month.
I notice the RRL share price bottoms around the same time. Well, at least for the last 3 months that I checked.
Any connection? Just coincidence?
As I understand it, the current months options expire at the close of trade tonight.
I'm just reminded of the Alasdair Macleod interview I referenced on 28Nov21. He said Bullion Banks have been carrying the largest short positions ever. Some 60 billion Euros exposure. He also said this may be the last time they do this, with the advent of Basel III rules being implemented on 1Jan22.
If he's right, I would expect the POG be suppressed (again) tonight but bounce strongly at the end of the week/next week and Gold Equities to follow.
