People,
Though I would ask this question here as I couldn't see any mining engineering type forums.
What are the sort of costs for underground mining of narrow vein gold?
I understand there are many factors but was just interested in some ballpark kinds of figures for something like:
- 2m wide by 3m high drive, sloping at about 30 degrees.
- no stoping
- granite host rock with mylonite and pyrite/quartz veining
- only 100m deep
- near vertical vein
- unstable conditions and quite wet
I am a holder in a Co that seems to be coming in at around $1000-$1600 per tonne excavated.
But I dont know if that is good or bad.
