I've had a couple of quick looks through my research folders for you letsbefrank. Didn't find the resource statement where the original Beta pit optimisation section was published. From memory, the pit was planned for a depth of 70m. To the best of my knowledge, no UG mining is planned for Beta although at one time there was a preliminary design for a decline at Delta.
