With no information out there, shorters started an attack. MCQ cut their position but Credit S increased their position to 9%, a big number,. Volume was high which means lots of selling but at the same time lots of buying. Shorts are setting up to trash the January 30th report. You will hear lots of crap from what should be a reasonable report.
We know that sales will be low because the mine just started shipping. Also initial sales price will be to people who are getting their first loads. We are not aware, at this point, of any bad news.
Shorts want to drive the price down in the next few days to cut their positions. AS sales accumulate thru this year, cash flow to fund the Spherical plant will be robust ( $50 M). In addition we know that graphite prices are rising and will continue to increase as supply is challenged by EV and battery demand on top of an existing demand.
