Rio is further down the automation route and leading the way. Automation in the world of mining has yielded both positives and negatives so I can't count the beans for all automation implementation.
I read the article and I am afraid plenty has changed. BHP is not that low on the cost curve anymore. There are plenty of reasons that contribute to this however which way we look at it - its management that has the responsibility of managing those challenges
