buddha summarised his entire teaching as a three-fold training:
1. ethical training (morality)
2. concentration (calming meditation)
3. wisdom (insight)
buddha strongly stressed morality (ethics); saying there is no path progress without it
in other words, buddha summarised his entire teaching as:
1. do not do evil (harm)
2. do good (love all)
3. purify the mind (from self-attachment)
when buddha said:
"Do not dwell in the past
Do not dream of the future
Concentrate the mind on the present "
this was only for one part of the three-fold training![]()
