Of course WM does need a very accurate DFS to tell him where to dig.This is a complex deposit,and every metre of travel of each digger needs to be minimised.They want to know exactly where to dig and where to start the piles of ore.

A DFS involves a lot more work than a JORC because whilst it may use the same data,it is much more than a modelled approximation of a resource.Consequently,it is more valuable than a JORC because it informs about the actual economics of every bucket load.WM needs a very accurate DFS to maximise the value of his shareholding,bucket by bucket.

Remember,he own a sizeable percentage;he doesn't want to waste any value.This is a huge comfort to we actual holders of shares-he doesn't want to mine shareholders of funds like so many of his brethren,but mine the resource.
