Evergrande has already spent about CNY40B(USD$5.8B) on electric vehicles. The further CNY160(USD$23B) Investments are not just in lithium battery factory but also electric vehicle production line (1m units p. a).
Another China large company, Wanxiang has a plan to invest CNY200B on new energy, bought Tesla’s rival years ago.
In March 2019, Wanxiang started to build 80GWh lithium battery production line with total investment of CNY68B (USD9.8B).

On March 25th, Wanxiang Group's Wanxiang Innovation Energy City officially started construction.
The on-site display panel shows that Wanxiang Innovation Energy City Battery and Energy Storage Project with a total investment of 68 billion yuan has introduced the international leading automatic battery production line. After completion, it will form an annual production capacity of 80G watt-hour battery. The investment in the first year was 65 billion yuan. The project also has an investment of 5.122 billion yuan to make full use of the underground space, equipped with a battery energy storage system, research on energy multi-pole utilization and management based on the blockchain bottom technology, and provide a market-oriented environment for energy transformation and energy efficiency improvement.
With a total investment of 71.3 billion yuan to build lithium batteries and electric vehicles
