Some more exciting developments following on from previous posts above.
China Passenger New EV sales for June confirmed
And the news is great, with BEV sales up an impressive 123% YoY
NEV June sales at 137 K, +87.6% YoY, +43.6% MoM.
Breakdown:
BEV June sales at 115 K, +123.6% YoY, +54.2% MoM.
PHEV sales at 22 K, +1.5% YoY, +5.3% MoM.
H1 sales are also impressive, with BEVs up ~70% YoY.
H1 NEV sales at 563 K, +58.7% YoY
Breakdown:
H1 BEV sales at 440 K, +69.8% YoY.
H1 PHEV sales at 123 K, +28.5% YoY.

Based on the above figures and trends, China is on track to sell @2m EVs this and the world is on course to sell @3.2 - 3.4m EVs. What's more, BEVs are outpacing PHEVs and the average battery size is growing.
All in all, Battery quality Lithium demand is growing exponentially and another box likely to be ticked on the below s-curve prediction.
SVOLT announces 100GWh by 2025 (add this to the global tally as per my previous post)
“We plan to have five production bases worldwide, including in the United States, but it will take time,” said SVOLT general manager Yang Hongxin at an event in the Chinese city of Baoding. “The global plan is to reach a capacity of 100 GWh by 2025.”

Glencore committed to the DRC
According to Simon Moores from Benchmark Minerals, 'Cobalt’s issue isn’t eliminating DRC /Congo cobalt but helping increase governance of its supply chains. Good governance comes from the majors that operate there yet likes of Rio Tinto and BHP won't touch it. There will be no EVs without DRC cobalt - needs addressing quickly'.
There was a rumour going around that Glencore were drilling a few of their own holes over at Manono, but as yet I haven't been able to confirm this.
