1 million electric vehicles are currently requiring around 50kt LCE.

IN 2018, 189 countries shows a total of 92.9 million worldwide car sales (global car & light commercial vehicles):

China, German, UK, France, India (recently adjust to 30% by 2030) and many other countries governments support electric vehicles adoption.

CATL has been aggressively expanding its lithium battery production capacity.
Although currently we face with short term oversupply, but more likely turning into a shortage in around two years, then will be a big shortage as electric vehicle revolution accelerates as CATL chairman predicts 70% of car sales will be electric in 2035. That's about 70 million cars per year, requiring 3.5 million tons LCE, that's a very bullish prediction. And where to source lithium from? By 2035, Greenbushes mine would be out of mine as its current resource supports about 10 year mining life at 9.5mtpa (capacity is expected by end of 2020, so would last mining to around 2030, imo).

Tianqi is already starting to prepare for lithium metal for next generation lithium batteries, solid state lithium batteries which require more lithium.

"The Chinese miners - CATL and Huayou Cobalt- are trying to impose themselves with the Australian company AVZ Minerals, holder of the largest mining concession."

Electric vehicle revolution is now almost certain, world’s largest hard rock lithium deposit (220m average thickness with high grade 1.65% Li2O), is currently valued at over 90% discount to WA asx peers.
I believe Mr Market will eventually wake up on AVZ.

    ALL IMO.
