but
there could also be exotic trades going on
where some fund is long the convertible note, short the stock and just getting the yield
and will take the stock if above the strike price
im getting dizzy
long and short of it - it's not an unusually high amount ...
and therefore, not really significant
if the stock aint worth it, the stock will drop with or without the shorts and vice versa
