Anyone familiar with Parkinson's knows if TLX technological pipeline may have some potential overlap with Parkinson's disease? As PET imaging can be used to visualize the levels of dopamine in the brain, which is a key neurotransmitter involved in the development of Parkinson's disease. In fact, there are already a few PET imaging agents that have been developed for imaging dopamine in the brain, such as [18F]FDOPA and [11C]raclopride. It is then possible that targeted radiopharmaceuticals could be adapted for use in imaging dopamine in the brain, potentially providing a more sensitive and specific imaging agent for Parkinson's disease?
