Your views on why people post may be a bit narrow. A stock like MGT is a lot like a footy team and has those who support a win and those that do not.

In MGT's case the "Price UP" squad would be LT holders, Traders, Chartists waiting for a signal (downtrend break), and those interested in maybe holding.
Now all these may be active posting subjective (no facts) posts that indicate MGT is anything from "a cert" to "having potential" But as the bean counters say - NEVER pay anything for potential.

The "Price DOWN" mob would be traders (shorters), those looking for a better value entry (why pay 14c when you can pay 7c?) and insiders who know it is going to move up because of whatever info they have, and might push it down and clean up.

My point is you are one of those and JasK another.

Best advice I can give because you cannot be sure who is who in this zoo, is Edgar Alan Poe's advice: "Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see."

Hence why all on these threads we should (nay must) D.Y.O.R.
