I'm *very* skeptical of Bio "renewables".
For starters *growing* your fuel is always a bad idea. Food capable land is already at a premium and food is already in high demand and already too easily disrupted by weather/flora or fauna events.

I could possibly get behind biowaste provided the waste is from consumer resources that would otherwise head to landfill. Any waste from production of food should be either made more efficient or plowed back into the land or growing/farming process

But I honestly dont think there is enough consumer biowaste to be worth separating and trying to refine into a "fuel".

I'm fairly sure that BHP/Rio are well aware of all this.. and their "Bio renewable" solutions are just bullshit greenwashing.
