Hitachi Energy Takes Equity Stake in Sweden’s H2 Green Steel - Bloomberg


Hitachi Energy today announces that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with H2 Green Steel to leverage electrification, digitalization, and hydrogen to support the decarbonization of the steel industry.

Zurich-based Hitachi Energy Ltd. is making an equity investment in Swedish fossil fuel-free steelmaker H2 Green Steel, according to an emailed statement.The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding that includes a “significant investment from Hitachi Energy’s side. As part of the deal, Hitachi Energy will provide the products and services needed for H2 Green Steel’s electricalinfrastructure, and when the production plant is up and running, Hitachi will also become a customer."
