Which leg of Thyssenkrupp are we talking about here? Steel Europe? Steel Americas was sold in 2013, wasn't it? Do you have any idea how much steel is produced in Europe vs the likes of China, India, Japan, etc? An insignificant amount. Thyssenkrupp currently produce 11Mtpa of crude steel (as per their own website). To put that into perspective, China produced 1,032.8Mt of steel in 2021, even with covid delays/lockdowns, etc.
So one barely significant steel making company hopes to scale a very early-stage technology which might disrupt the need for DRI-grade magnetite in likely 5-10 years time, and we're posting this as if it's a realistic threat to MGT's likelihood of being extremely successful in the next few years?
Bah.
