This is an important point, I think.

When you are dealing with people's money, being the lowest-cost provider is not enough; you need to have rigorous systems and institutional-grade controls in place.

Problem with this business is that it is almost a virtual company; just about everything - including some business critical functions - is outsourced.

Which is all good and well... until there are problems.
