If they found some breakthrough compound that could kill resistant bacteria then surely they could take the same path going alone. They have been working in that area for a few years apparently so surprising they don't seem to have found anything. Doesn't matter hopefully if they can progress with Myc now, just that its always nice to have a couple of diverse irons in the fire. All they need is a bad toxicology report on phylomers or myc inhibitors in human cells and were stuffed. That's the gamble of all bios I guess though.
