I think the addressable market is even larger than 3DP - with PIQ , the addressable market is diabetics with CKD (chronic kidney disease) (and that's just one of the many other revenue streams) and there are at least 150million of them worldwide in 2012. Assuming just a 5% market penetration for its biomarker test kit at say USD20 per test, that's potentially USD150m or AUD200m revenue on the back of the envelope calc, of course it may take several years to get there.
To date, PIQ's PromarkerD is the only reliable diagnostic test to determine with high accuracy on a diabetic's likelihood of developing CKD four years on.
PIQ's mcap is just $13.5m while 3DP is at $43m , 3x higher, that does suggest to me the maths is substantially skewed for PIQ to play catch up IMO.
Both 3DP and PIQ investor relations are being managed by Canary Capital and they've done a wonderful job with the investor road-show at 3DP that culminated in its stellar price action (which is still in progress
) so a little patience with the illiquidity now and we will see something beautiful happening here in the not too distant future.
