The story so far........
In November 2014 1-Page acquired BranchOut, a professional networking service with more than 820 million profiles. The service leverages users’ social graphs and networks to help candidates find jobs. With this acquisition, 1-Page applied its proprietary technology to create a revolutionary employee referral service with detailed professional profiles based on the social graph.
In July 2015 the 1-Page Sourcing Platform went live to pilot customers. It gave clients access to more than 1 billion professional profiles, which 1-Page curates for specific role requirements.
In September 2015 1-Page launched a partnership program, entering into agreements with 9 partners exposing 1-Page products to more than 600,000 clients, including well over 50% of the Fortune 1,000, in more than 80 countries
In November 2015 1-Page launched a go-to-market strategy focused on curated talent pools, and began signing annual contracts. Not long after, it announced the signing of 9 annual contracts for Sourcing Platform, and the 9 enterprises were expected to quickly scale to an average revenue generating contract of more than US$300,000.
In the Nov15-Jan16 Quarter, 1-Page experienced much larger clients and number of monthly pool requests than initially expected, which required investment in the platforms infrastructure in order to fulfill client requests. 1-Page successfully converted many smaller revenue generating pilot contracts with early customers in the Aug15-Oct15 Quarter, to significantly larger annual contracts in the Nov15-Jan16 Quarter. 1-Page experienced a 500% increase in requested talent pools, and this increase in demand of pools can be expected to drive contract sizes much larger.
Major enterprise clients that signed large annual revenue generating contracts included two Fortune 100 technology giants (over 100,000+ employees each), Deutsche Bank (95,000), a Fortune 500 real estate company (70,000), McGraw Hill Financial (17,000), Hershey’s (14,000), a Fortune 300 payments company (8,500), Korn Ferry (7,000), Under Armour (11,000), Toll Brothers (3,900), and others.
In December 2015, 1-Page acquired Marianas Labs, an innovator in large scale data processing, data science and machine learning, but also its team of recognised data science experts, collectively with over 100 years of experience developing artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis systems. Their suite of algorithms reduced 1-Page’s cost of data processing and analysis. In February of 2016, 1-Page had a major technology release to the platform that has delivered a 350% increase in the amount pools that match the requests and needs of clients. Additionally, the Marianas Labs acquisition is allowing 1-Page to shorten the time to create curated pools from days, to minutes, at scale.
In the Feb16-May16 Quarter 1-Page worked closely with the new customers that were signed in the previous Quarter to ensure their requirements were being met. The latest version of its Sourcing Solution (“Source 3.0”) was deployed to both existing and new clients. This new version includes:
- Shortening the time required to deploy and onboard new clients from months to days.
- Shortening the time required to deliver curated pools to clients from days to minutes, at large scale.
- Enabling enterprise clients to request and receive additional pools seamlessly.
- Allowing 1-Page to bill clients up front and recognize revenue without a meaningful lag, therefore significantly shortening the time to recognize revenue and shortening the payment cycle.
1-Page has also launched “Affinity”, a new feature within the Sourcing Solution that enables clients to identify how their existing employees are connected to potential candidates within curated pools. Affinity is a highly differentiated tool due to its personal-level targeting capabilities and has seen strong early adoption from existing clients and incremental demand from new clients. Early tests with a sample of existing clients show that on average 30% of their employees are connected to potential candidates within curated pools.
1-Page also remains highly focused on technology and innovation, evidenced by the integration of machine learning capabilities into the Company’s Sourcing Solution. These artificial intelligence (“AI”) capabilities provide a layer of automation to the platform and enable 1-Page to better serve the needs of customers, while decreasing the need for manual specification. The integration of AI allows the platform to seamlessly determine a hiring manager’s specific needs and enables clients to find candidates highly suited for a given opportunity. As stated in the 31 Jan 2016 Annual Report "we truly are on the cusp of using machine learning and artificial intelligence (“AI”) in ways that the industry has never been able to experience prior".
Currently 1-Page’s sales pipeline contains over 100 open opportunities and continues to grow.
1-Page now has at least one of each of the top five global players in the following verticals including; technology, retail, consumer goods, financial, insurance, and healthcare. The typical enterprise 1-Page client currently has on average 1,700 open jobs at any one time, demonstrating significant growth opportunity for 1-Page, with deployments typically starting at 25 pools (less than 2% of open roles), and scaling as part of an enterprise contract.
......the next chapter in the story will be revenue, and lots of it. The question is not if, but when..........
