perhaps but he and munger have been fairly critical of fund managers as being unable to match the index over time. that is the first clue.
the second is that munger said they only reason they invest directly in companies and not the index is they want to be able to exert control over the company.
l can see them investing in individual companies cannot see them paying for another fund manager to invest.
