I bet it's really hard to get systems approvals through the corporate chain. It becomes a disincentive to make changes, and to have to work through the corporate red tape. If you mean that the IT guys don't want to change it's probably due to red tape.
Any chance you're willing to share the industry your Company is in? just curious on my part. guessing it's construction.
