You don't have to put numbers into any sophisticated model to work out the opportunities that exist in NMS but never overlook the challenges that are still in front of the new management team.

They have two big hurdles to negotiate before they will start posting worthwhile positive gains. The first of these hurdles is to win contacts with attractive margins and the second hurdle which is extremely important is to restructure the board and bring in some worthwhile additions as well as saying goodbye to the chairman. We need to see some credibility return to the management side of the company.

Other hurdles include disposing of the assets that are nothing but a drain on the management and financial resources of the business. It is also important that the new management team get the support of their staff and focus on consolidating a single culture in a fragmented business.

The prospects are good but only if the right work ethics and culture prevail.
