From http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/192581 it suggests that “Off-label prescribing, which is the practice of prescribing a drug outside of the scope of the drugs approved label is rampant. It is estimated that over 60% of all prescriptions written in the US are off-label.”
That really answers my question. With millions of sufferers in the USA, you would think a drug if and when approved, will undoubtedly find its way to Autism sufferers in the US. There will then be testing by-default. Makes me feel much more up-beat.
Cannot disagree it is the clever way to go. Would have done this even without the off-label possibilities.
