I sold my house last year, unfortunately my partner is leaving me because my yearly earnings went from $1.5m down to only $250k. I tried to explain that the house sale was a one off, and that I actually got a huge pay rise last year, but the figures were right there on the page, and I do see the point here - 2022 will be a year of less avocado toast than 2021 was.
