Whats that got to do with the influx of migrants following ww2 and the Vietnam War? Its they and their children and grandchildren that now make up a huge proportion of the population that has helped bring the prosperity we now enjoy. Yes, we are now a desirable destination but only from oppressed countries or economically extremely poor ones. Very few now want to come here from other developed nations because their own conditions are unlike the situation that prevailed during and immediately after WW2 when they came in great numbers.
