I applaud your generosity I really do, I was of the same opinion until I actually looked into where all the donated money was going. Less that 8cents in the dollar gets to the intended recipient, the rest is taken up in admin and labour costs. Something like 3 trillion dollars has been pumped into Africa in the last 10 or 20 years and the standard of living is no better at all. A lot of the money gets taken by the corrupt governments before any of it ever gets there.
I hope I don't deter you but people need to know the facts about donating money to these organisations!
