Most of the Aboriginal kids and particularly the boys are lucky if they get past primary school let alone even wanting get into a university. Most can't see the necessity for an education and many if most haven't the intellect to enjoy what is to them a difficult and unnecessary tortuous ordeal!! They don't like school and would rather be playing around in the dirt looking for specs of gold. That's what many of the Aboriginal kids are doing in and around the gold fields areas of WA. Just picking up flecks of gold with their spit on fingers among the mullock heaps that the early gold miners left behind.
