unifill select

I have been thinking about this new product, and wondering which pharma's would be driving the fast-tracking of this product?

It has been indicated that the Unifill Select will have specific applications for vaccines, multiple sclerosis & anti-coagulants, anti-viral, human growth hormone, anti-inflammatory.

When looking at the major players in these product areas, GSK (Vaccines, Anti-Coagulant, MS), Pfizer (HGH & Anti-inflammatory) & Roche (Anti-infective) & Sanofi Aventis (Vaccines) stand out as the key parties that would be interested in the Unifill Select product.

What does everyone else think?

An interesting breakdown was given in the CEO's presentations when they state that 80% of vaccines are given with an attachable needle (i.e. Unifill Select).

Something that strikes me as odd, is why have Sanofi partnered to develop the Unifill product when this form of injection will only be used for 20% of vaccines. UNI have indicated that they don't believe SA have exclusive rights to the Unifill Select product, and this is the product that will serve 80% of the vaccine market. I doubt SA would be happy to miss out on exlusivity over Unifill Select.
