surely this issue is dead before delivery. So what will the Qantas Irishman do (assuming he keeps his job)? Sell out of AQZ? Could do at a profit. But unlikely. Seek a board seat or two to influence future direction. Possible, afterall, he wants to frustrate his Virgin competitor. Perhaps also to influence the future usage of the E190’s to come into service. If QAN can’t have them, then ship them to Asia, so to speak. Maybe to coordinate ongoing flights from AQZ time schedules. Perhaps use the Rockhampton maintenance hub to service select QAN planes. I am sure there are a myriad of other ways the two airlines could cooperate for mutual benefit, without a takeover. All of these tactics will put strain on the other AQZ board members.
