    Hi gogo

Unions in general? Sorry gogo I don't know. I would venture to say the changing nature of work has changed. I am not avoiding your question. honestly I don't know ór particularly care about.
What I do know is however that the union I belong to, any aspiring young person is trying to bust the doors to get in.
But even these professional unions may have a short lived life. It is not only clerical jobs that are moving overseas. How many tax returns do you think are now prepared in Australia? How many Company accounts are prepared in Australia?
Arithects? Computer work? Less and less. Large companies set up in places like India, Vietnam etc, pay a pittance for the actual work compared what they would have to pay an Accountant or Architect in Australia. And the saddest part is that the clients do not know about this and are still paying top dollar.
I think a lot of people need to wake up to themselves if they think the problem is the Australian worker.

Anyhow, my last post for the day. I have to earn a crust.

    Pear
