Nothing new here. Unfortunately it seems to have been a recurring theme for as long as I can remember. Undoubtedly links in a chain to the top of power and authority.
Now that the ABC has run this story there will have to be some kind of tax-payer funded Royal Commission and this should result in a number of heads hitting the block, however the crooks will find other avenues to continue their trade.
Well done to Mr. Fitzgerald for trying to re-balance the scales. He should be safer now that this has begun to be publicly aired. Of course, despite his obvious integrity and brave stance, it is unlikely that we will ever hear of his recognition at a future Australia Day awards ceremony.
