If the unions don't pull out Rudds horns they will regret it for ever. I'm no union lover but firmly believe they have a place in society and need an outlet for their views. Rudd is about Rudd this is well established and that is where the unions have him over the barrel. He needs them more than they need him. Rudd's ego, image of self is his Achilles, even if the unions say no to him he will be unable to stop himself being a contender later in 2013. So say no hold the status quo and let him struggle on. Chances are he will lose so why give up the political clout to a phantom who will disappear into an airport.
