By replacing fossil fuels with new renewable and cleaner technologies we ARE thinking about all those people, plus the other 6.9 billion people who don't work at petrol stations. Not much good having a job if you can't breathe the air. A re-education scheme to transition people from one industry to another might be appropriate?
