The bashers seem to conveniently forget that it was the US themselves that asked MST to develop the MAUL, it happened some time back now, and this latest contract is a follow up on that, and the delivery date is NEXT YEAR! do you really think that the US would waste their time or dollars on this? if they for one moment thought that MST wasn't going to be around next year, do you think that Harmony would be happy about this? remember that what is good for MST is also good for Harmony, it needs to be said that most of the work is already done, it will use exaxctly the same electronic ignition system as the 3GL, except one fires three shots (3GL) and the other four shots (MAUL) maybe even the trigger stock and mounting rail will be the same, I see no reason why not IMHO? why reinvent the wheel ? the only difference between the MAUL and the 3GL is that one has a larger barrel (3GL 40mm) as against 18mm for the MAUL and the ammo that corresponds to those calibres, as I say most of the work has been already done.
