There seems to be one thing everyone agrees with - that CTP is well positioned and has huge potential. Shareholders believe it and want to defend it from a takeover and share in the benefits. Macquarie believe it, wanting to opportunistically acquire it.
The sticking point that Richard Cottee emphasised repeatedly on Friday was that we do not have the capital (he estimated some $42M) to do what is required to exploit our potential (only cover costs). Current debt levels are also a constraint.
The key therefore to any alternative way forward in unlocking CTP's potential for shareholders appears to be in the ability to raise capital in some other way (not already explore by Richard Cottee).
Is anyone aware of what OptionCo or others are proposing/considering to address this issue should the No vote be successful?
