China calls for restraint in Ukraine war

Story by Daniel Stewart • 2h ago

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called on all parties involved in the "crisis" in Ukraine to prevent the conflict from escalating and urged restraint.
Wang also raised during his speech at the annual session of the UN General Assembly the need to achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict in talks that take into account "the legitimate security interests" of all concerned and to build "a balanced and sustainable security architecture".

    And with the obligatory Addendum:
The head of Chinese diplomacy has also defended that Taiwan is an inseparable part of Chinese territory and has refused to question the principle of One China. Wang warned that they will fight "separatist" activities and warned "third countries" that "instigate wars" that they may "end up getting burned".

Its the 1st part that is showing China emerging from any doubts as to
the true position it will take should Putin increase his nuclear rattle-toy decibels.
Together with India they are a match for Putin to heed their voice.

    Cheers,
