@TheCapatilist; my wider family is a very large one.

Many in my wider family own 'small businesses' - some kids I taught during my schools days even married into my wider family and now deliver services ranging from electrical work, to plumbing, engineering, road construction and building.

In general they're doing very well because unlike many retail businesses which just import cheap stuff from overseas and mark up the price, they add value / deliver services. As a result they've achieved 'brand loyalty' and are very well-supported by locals - including me!

The mattress I bought was a ridgy-didge 'Made in Australia' product, but IMO the retailer's attempt to rip me off tarnished the good work it does by promoting Australian product.
