Either way GGG has handled this very badly.
If it is recognised by GGG that this incident will have no impact on them then they should not use shareholder money.
If it does have an impact then the company is obliged to inform shareholders of the possible consequences, particularly given that they are funding it. It is not a matter of "can't tell": it is a matter of "must tell".
Frankly, another immature strategy play by a terribly inexperienced MD, still wearing MD nappies. He should resign.
It is my opinion that he is following instruction from his boss .. the major shareholder. Pull the strings and the puppet has no choice but to follow on.
