one of the obvious reasons over the last few years that failed many instos is that their CEO's were ego driven & not obviously that intelligent. Packer bought back Channel 9 for a fraction of the price that Bond purchased it for. CVC are so diversified that they wait for the bargains. Google CVC & look a their portfolio. The only thing they don't seem to own yet is NASA.

These corporate disasters will occur every so often as long as we have greedy entrepreneurs - so in 10 years time we will see a repeat again as we all seem to have memory loss when it comes to making easy money.
